We support over 800 recruiting managers across three NHS organisations enabling them to recruit on a self-service basis, from advertisement through to the provision of contracts, filling more than 2,000 vacancies and supporting over 1,100 recruitment plans each year.

Using web-based self-service and e-workflow technology, Serco integrates with NHS JOBS (the dedicated online recruitment service for the NHS), to support NHS managers quickly and effectively through the recruitment process.

Through the use of e-workflows we provide our clients with business assurance and compliance in respect of regulatory and statutory requirements, by ensuring that recruitment managers provide the right information, at the appropriate time in the recruitment process.
 
Our end-to-end recruitment process encompasses:

  • Recruitment advertising – including NHS JOBS and relevant local and national publications
  • Reference requests
  • Online short listing co-ordination
  • Attendance administration for interviewee and interview panels
  • Pre-employment checks (work permits, DBS checks, Occupational Health)
  • Employee contract co-ordination and issue
  • Booking onto Mandatory Induction Workshops.

For customers also receiving Payroll and Occupational Health services, we provide seamless integration for pre-employment checks, through interview stage and contract acceptance, to creating the complete employee record on ESR for accurate and timely payment of new starters to your organisation.

  • Using our online e-workflow technology, our recruitment specialists have supported the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust through a number of specialist recruitment campaigns ensuring a quick and effective service
  • Support to both Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust and Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust to the 2013 Student Health Visitors Cohorts
